- First, you need to have an account in the bank where you want to open a minor account.

- The name of the mother or father as guardian is given as joint or guardian.
- Lgnorance child’s birth certificate should be attached along with the form.
- Guardian’s pan card and adhar card must be Xeroxed and signed by the guardian.

- The bank requires you to submit the address proof for the minor.

Features of minor account-
- There is no need to wait until the child reaches the age of 18 years. A minor account can be opened even if the child is under 18 years of age.
- After opening the account, when the child turns 18 years old, this account has to be transferred to a normal saving account and the person can transact independently. Then there is no need for a guardian.
- Facilities like internet banking, ATM or debit card, checkbook facility, etc. are available in minor accounts but all their transactions are done with the help of Guardian and they also have security and limitations.
- The facility of internet usage is also available in the minor account but all the responsibility is on the guardian.
- Debit card facility is also available in a minor account. Some banks issue photo ATM-cum-debit cards, while others have the name of the parent or child on the card.

- Spending limit is kept in the minor account to prevent misuse of money. There are daily usage or daily money withdrawal limits. Debit card usage also has limitations.
